Very easy to use
The Operatherm 3 is designed for ease of use. The thin (2
mm) flexible X-ray translucent Heating Pad is placed on the
operating table (or in the ICU bed). KanMed Anti Pressure
Gel Pads are placed on top of the Heating Pad. The pad is
connected to the Control Unit which is put or hung in a convenient
place. Switch it on and select the desired temperature. The
surface of your operating table will soon be warm.
Principle of operation
The Heating Pads consist of eight individually regulated and
monitored heating elements (four in the small pads). Each
heating element also functions as a temperature sensor, and
monitors its own whole surface. The heating elements are etched
on a Mylar film (an extremely strong plastic) and all is moulded
in a protective cover of fireproof PVC-plastic. This makes
the Heating Pads watertight and very resistant to pulling
forces. All Heating Pads are interchangeable. The thinness,
combined with a maximum power output of 200 watts (100 watts
for small pads), allows quick warming up even when used with
Gel Pads. The Control Unit is microprocessor controlled and
built for continuos use so that the operating tables can be
kept permanently warm.
The combination of Operatherm 3 KanMed Gel Warming Cabinet
and KanMed Anti Pressure Pads offer a safe and simple way
to keep your patient warm in all situations.
