power consumption
The Kanmed Warming Cabinet warms
by circulating warm air. Default maximum temperature is 42ºC,
but a 50ºC Cabinet is also available. The temperature is easy
to change between 35ºC to 42ºC ( 35ºC to 50ºC)
The Kanmed Warming Cabinet comes in two sizes height 175 cm or
90 cm. You can equip it with shelves or drawers, lockable
wheels or adjustable feet. The large version
accommodate up to 10
shelves or drawers, the small version 5 shelves or drawers.
A Great Combination
The patient warmer Kanmed Operatherm is mostly used in
the OR area but can also be practical for warming cardio
vascular x-ray procedures , neontatal areas etc. The
Kanmed Operatherm together with Kanmed Anti Pressure Gel
Pads, that are prewarmed in the Kanmed Warming Cabinet
will help you prevent patient hypothermia efficiently.

The
KanMed Anti Pressure Gel Pads
are extra soft Polyurethane
gels designed to minimize the risk of pressure related
skin damage. The softness is very well defined to allow
optimal pressure distribution. The gel will not separate,
even under the hardest pressure. The surface “skin“ is
extra tough to provide strength, a long lifetime and a
hygienic surface. They are easy to clean and handle. |

Before
surgery
KanMed Anti Pressure Pads are able to store
a lot of heat. Warmed Gel Pads will slowly release their
stored heat to the patient. Placing the patient on comfortable
warm Gel Pads will have a positive relaxing effect.
It will probably make the patient more co-operative
and may also reduce the amount of sedative needed to
put the patient asleep.
During
surgery
Use pre-warmed KanMed Anti Pressure Gel Pads
during all kinds of surgical procedures, especially
for those expected to last longer than an hour. Fold
them, bend them, use double layers, etc. to help to
position the patient correctly on the OR-Table. Use
the KanMed Operatherm 202 to keep them warm during the
whole procedure.
After
surgery
Placing pre-warmed Gel Pads in the bed will
reduce shivering and increase the comfort of the patient.
Other
areas of use
Use the Pads anytime you suspect that a pressure
area may arise and/or when you need to cool or warm
a patient. Use them to keep new-born babies warm on
the examination table. Place them under the heels of
immobile patients, etc.
